The BLC Companies announced the hiring of John Pantone to expand its presence throughout the nation. The BLC Companies is comprised of Business Loan Capital Inc. and the BLC Prime Lending Fund II, an open ended fixed income debt fund. BLC primarily provides short term bridge loans on commercial real estate assets. BLC is based in southern California and John will be based in the Mid-West, helping BLC expand its lending presence across the country. CEO Fred Mills stated “The hiring of John is a great step in our efforts to expand our lending reach.” John is a commercial real estate professional with 35+ years of extensive experience in originations, specializing in equity and structured finance lending, across all the major asset classes. Recent positions include Managing Director roles at MidCap Financial and Buchanan Street Partners, and Senior Vice President at Walker & Dunlop.
John started his career as a staff auditor at Coopers & Lybrand and spent 12 years at Heller Real Estate in various credit, underwriting, asset management, and investment officer roles. David Manser, BLC’s President and Chief Lending Officer stated, “Throughout John’s career he has established himself as a trusted business advocate for both borrowers and lenders alike, so his role at BLC will be to leverage that experience and network to increase our product exposure, while at the same time generating quality loan closings for the company and our fund.”
The BLC Companies are direct lenders for purchase and refinance transactions on commercial real estate properties. BLC’s loan products are comprised of Bridge Loans, Conventional Loans, and SBA 504 Loans, with deal sizes ranging from $1 Million to $20 Million. Business Loan Capital has been in business for over 15 years and started their real estate fund in 2017.
